We had landscaping done recently. We had also installed a small fountain, but it's the type where it just recycles the water and we had our sprinkler system finally redone and working.

Before all of this, the water pressure was dismal. The upstairs shower my boyfriend had removed that water saving thing so the pressure for that one shower was stronger.

Now, after we had landscaping, the upstairs shower is back to being dismal.

I can't get the shampoo out of my hair without staying in the shower longer that usual; someone pouring water out of a cup above my head, is a good metaphor.

Was this a huge coincidence due to the landscaping and water renovations? And should I call a plumber or a simple DIY?

THANKS SO MUCH. I can't go on having water trickle down my soapy body in the mornings...

Oh, and by the way, we own the house and property.

we had our sprinkler system finally redone and working. And that's where I think that in piping in the sprinkler system you disturbed some crud built up on the pipe walls that may be clogging the inlet ports of the shower valve. Try this. Shut the water off to the shower valve and open it up' Check and clean the inlet ports on the cartridge. Before you button up turn the water back on to flush out the supplies and valve body. Reassemble and test. Pressure better now? Let me know. Tom

In addition to Tom's advice: remove shower head and run water only through shower arm. See how much water you get. Also, clean your shower head...
