I want to know in the state of Indiana how you go about signing over all your parental rights and if you still pay child support after you do so?

If you had looked in this forum before posting you would have already had your answer.

The bottomline here is that a Termination of Parental Rights (TPR) is rarely granted. When it is, its usually to clear the way for adoption or because the parent represents a danger to the child.

State laws differ, so some states terminate rights AND responsibilities (i.e. support), others only rights. But that's really a moot issue, since nowhere will they grant a TPR to allow a parent out of paying support. So in those area that terminate both, its even more difficult to get a TPR.

Indiana is one of the states that will terminate support with the rights. However, like scott said it isn't easy if you want any shot at all you first have to get a lawyer to help you prove to the judge that it would be in the child's best interest.
