Hello my sister have been sued by a credit card company. She is being paying a $100.00 a month but the bank wants $1,400 a month . She has called tha bank but they don't want to listen to her plea. She is specting a baby in 2 months and she is unemployed. What she should do. She have a hearing in 20 days. Please help , Sincerely Carlos

There are dozens of threads in the
Bankruptcy & Debt and Credit forums (I moved you question to B & D) that deal with this. I would suggest browsing through them to get an idea of what to do.
She has to answer the summons with her intent to defend against the suit. Otherwise they will just get a default judgement.
She can't just pay what she wants. She has to negotiate a settlement with the debtor that both can agree on.
However, since she's not dsputing the debt, there is little she can do. It is likely they will get a judgement against her. But if she is not working and has no assets, there is little they can do with the judgement at this time.
