I have the 91 handa civic. I have done everything except fuel filter. New coil, ICM, spark plugs, wires, rotar, and distributor cap. Car still has problems starting. The check engine light has to come on first before the car starts. When it comes on it starts and the car runs better than ever before. When I turn the car off the check engine light stays off so I get the code. Is this a fuel problem, relay problem, etc.

Please help.

. Clean main ECM ground, located on the thermostat housing.

. Perform K-Test on the ECM (see Sticky, Section A). It sounds like the ECM may be failing.
