I have removed a Moen shower cartridge and did not notice how it was positioned. It works and I am getting water but with very low pressure. How should the cartridge be positioned?

Thank you.

The Moen can be installed upside down but that would reverse your hot/cold. The nub with the H/C should be at the top by the clip. This pressure is more likely affected by crud you might have stirred up. I'd remove the cartridge again, clean it and grease it with silicone jel. Before installing cover the valve body opening with atightly held towel and have someone turn the main on for a second to clear other debris.

Yeh, John and Ballengerb1 said it. Moen is one of the simpliest systems to install, Up or Down - it doesn't matter. You probably have debris in the cartridge or in your shower head. Clean your shower head first.

This is worth saving Installation Help / Animated Tutorials for Moen Faucets (http://www.moen.com/consumersupport/installation/index.cfm) Moen has some great animated tutorials that show you how to work on many of their products including install a cartridge.
