My 14 year old daughter has the following symptoms as of today...
- Fever of 99.8F
- Stuffy/runny nose
- Very tired
- Minor body aches
- Slight headache in the morning
- Cough
- Strep throat (we got it checked yesturday)

She started with a scratchy throat last week, but it went away in a day or two. A week later (October 6th) she developed a cough and a scratchy throat. October 7th she developed cold symptoms like low-grade fever, stuffy nose, sneezing and a cough. Today she has laid in bed until 11:00AM and she has all the symptoms listed above. I'm concerned if this is just a common cold, the flu, or something worse like meningococcal meningitis. She got a meningococcal meningitis vaccine about a month or go. What could this be? Common cold or something more?
