Hello All:

My washer was spinning, then suddendly stopped.

- I pulled out all clothes, then start a new cycle. Wafer was filled up OK. But never spinned.
- I turned to "final spin" to see if it spins, but no spin at all. I can only hear the sound of water draining out. I open the lid up. The drainage sound still can be heard. And this sound still happened until the cycle was over.
- I opened the front panel to check the belt, or anything that was strange. The belt was OK. I used volt-meter to measure all the points on motor. All was found at about 40.0VAC during cycle was running. And at about 0.20VAC when cycle was stopped.
- What parts could be broken?

Thanks you all for your replies & helps.

Hi all:

I did lot of searches on internet to see if there is any same issue I have.
I went to
http://www.acmehowto.com/howto/appliance/washer/check
To read different things need to be checked.
There was one article
Washing Machine Repair Guide: How To Test the Lid Switch - ACME HOW TO.com (http://www.acmehowto.com/howto/appliance/washer/check/lidswitch.php)
Which I feel very same and related to my washer's issue.
I follow their steps. Indeed, there was some connection of lid. Open or close lid the circuit is still open.
I check the lid's. It does not touch or push down the tab which cause the open/close circuit.
Found the plastic cap on the floor of waher (inside close to the motor) Put this back to the tab. Now the lid can push down the tab, can the washer is working again.
Very small job, but something to learn & save money.
