I live in New York and I was wondering if anyone can explain the difference between Timberline and Grand Manor Shingles? Also what is the price per square for each? I called a couple of places and they said Timberline was ( 40 year) 112.95 and the Grand Manor was 211.00 per square. I think that's a lot. Any thoughts?

Grand Manor is not the brand of shingle, just the model or style, they are made by CertainTeed. Timberline is made by GAF and can be bought in 30 year, 40 and 50 year versions. You must compare apple to aplles, I'd just go with the cheaper of the two if they have the same warranty.

Yes, I agree with the above post.

They are basically just 2 different styles of premium shingles. Either will hold out the weather for many years, and it boils down the look you want on your house.

Good luck
