I was wondering, well, me and a friend of mine, if it is illegal to post a persons home address and name on the internet.

The story is, he sold something to someone through a in-line forum and the person didn't send the merchandise.

On this forum, they have a list of "scammers" and people are posting other people's full name and home address where others can see.

We are both afraid of doing this because we think it's against the law.

Can anyone help me on this subject?
Thank you.

If they ripped you off I'd go for it. I know of websites that post credit card abusers information on a black list when they do charge backs.. It lets everyone know what's going on.. the information is home address, full name, phone number. They ripped you off. What are they going to do, call the police?
Nobody has been reprimanded for this yet that I know of.. but if you want more infor, check internet laws as its different from normal laws..
