I'm feeling pretty stressed because everything is going wrong in my research at the moment. I can't get a simple and routine process to work :( (cloning if anyone is interested.)

I feel like I can't do simple tasks and I'm worried everybody is laughing about how stupid I am behind my back. I know it happens there is more than enough gossip about other people.

So I need tips on how to stay positive and stop being so paranoid.

Usually I am more resilient to experimental failures, but I really don't want to get the reputation as the lab dunce.

So any help?

ah instead of feeling depressed or stressed about it laugh... think its funny to mess up in some way... we all mess up and some people can have a bad day to a bad week I don't know how long this is going on but you yourself are probably the cause of your failures by thinking you are going to mess up or get stress you mind isn't as clear as it needs to be to do your job... I say before you start take some time to calm down with some deep inhale and exhale exercises for 1 minute or 2 ^_^

best wishes
