Is it a wise move or not? I'm not talking about a boss or anything, just a co worker.

Not really wise but not ideal.

If you date your co-worker and you had an argument or broke up, world will be cramped for both of you.

I am in high school, so I can kind of relate to dating within the workplace.

Okay, well, it is all good at first. You have plenty of time to fall for each other, and plenty of time to get to know each other. You are presented with several oppurtunities to ask her for coffee or a date.

The problems begin when you think about the break up. As much as anyone doesn't want it to happen, you know it probably will.

I see my ex's everyday in school, and it can be incredably awkward. Not to mention, I just can't work with her.

I would definitely recommend against it, and say that it is not a good move. It creates to many awkward moments, especially if the relationship ends in a bad way. It could also potentially result in the loss of your job. The risks seem higher than the benefits, to me.

I know everyone dates within their high school, but I definitely think it directly relates to the workplace. The workplace would be even more awkward, and if you work in a small office with few people...

A bias I could have here is that when I break up with a girl, I like to get her out of my life. As awful as it sounds, I don't think I can have a decent friendship with an ex, which makes any contact with them really awkward. But I think a lot of people think this way.

I think career wise, dating in the office is a bad idea.

It depends how you feel about the person- not that you just want to hit the sack w/ them. Get to know the person a little first. My personal recomdation is make it appear at work like you are not dating- just like two people working together. That has happened with people I worked with then I got there wedding invite- it was so cool.Besides people LOVE gossip and if there are any indicatiors you will be in everyone's spot light at work. And if you break up - you will have to see that person every day and be reminded of it until one of you leaves that job. Think first and decide with your brain not so much the rest of your bod.
