I recently got both my taragus pierced and haven't been able to clean them as much as I should and I have been trying to get back to cleaning them properly are they going to get infected or has the damage already been done?

Sorry to admit I don't know but what is a taragus (or targus). I can't find any mention of either one on the Internet - ?

It's the part of your ear that covers your ear hole and is attached to your face.

OK, I looked it up - it's Tragus. Thanks.

Did you find out anything about the possible targus infection?

No, just the usual stuff about keeping it clean, seeing a Physician and going on antibiotics if the area appears infected (red, swollen, seeping).
It says the healing process can be a bit longer and more complicated than other sites because of where it's the area and because it's a larger piercing.
Does it look infected or are you simply worried about it?

It looks a little infected and a little tender possibly. But, that feeling could be because I haven't been able to clean it as well as I'd like and I have started to clean it better now!

Good - keep an eye on it (of course) and I hope you'll stay on the board and let everyone know how you're doing.
There is a piercing expert and I hope she'll come along to give you advice. The site I found said to use an over the counter antibiotic cream.
