At your next court visit, inform the judge you do not wish to have this attorney. Are you hiring your own? Are you going to go without one ?
The judge will have to OK it, so if you want another PD you will have to show why this one is not doing their job.

Hello virgo:

You fire him like you fire any attorney. Write him a letter telling him his services are no longer required. You could certainly outline the reasons, if you wish. Send your letter certified, return receipt requested. Send a copy to the judge and to the prosecutor.

Unless you fired him for good cause, you're not going to get another one appointed.

On the other hand, you could tell us what the situation is, and we can tell you how to MANAGE your public defender so that you get the best out of him, even if he's less than willing to put it out. He DOES work for you, after all. Therefore, if you know how to MANAGE him, he'll do what you want him to do.
