A message box is flashing every 3 to 5 seconds that says "syntax error". Its very annoying. Anyone know how to get rid of it?

Virus/malware scan, Could be one of them trying to query the system for information but is using bad syntax.

But any more information would help narrow it down better.

See what is running in the processes tab in task mgr to see if anything looks odd or unfamiliar and end that process to see if it helps stop the error.

Right click on taksbar and click taks manager and then thr processes tab.

Same with msconfig and startup tab
-start, run, type msconfig and then go to the startup tab and see what prgrams are running when you start your PC. Again, look for anything odd or unfamiliar that is starting with windows.

If not sure what a prgram may do or is needed, you can Google it or post unfamiliar apps or prgrams here.

Thanks all. I installed PC Doc Pro; ran it and it fixed the problem.
