I cannot think of the title to a disney live-action movie possibly made in the 50s or 60s... It has a man flying a plane and there is a woman and 2 children on board. The woman hangs a radio next to some controls and they realize later that they have flown off course. They crash land on an island and I remember that they ended up making the plane into a boat... There was one scene where the little girl was looking through one of the windows that was below the water and she got scared because there were sharks.

I think you mean The Last Flight of Noah's Ark. But that came out in 1981 - so maybe not. Ricky Schroeder was one of the kids.
