My husband has painted our fiberglass shower stall with appropriate paint twice. The first time he failed to clean it properly and paint peeled or washed off in some areas, he only taped off the lower half because the almond colors did not match and thought this would still look okay. This week he has cleaned, sanded, cleaned, sanded, etc. taped off bottom half in a stripe pattern (paint is white spray this time) and painted again, waited recommended time--looks good! but, when peeling off tape (even though being very careful) some minute white came off, plus white paint is raised from the surface but you can only feel that with your hands (can't see it). We are afraid white will peel again with regular shower use and the hot water. Is there a way seal the entire stall with a clear coat of "something"? I've looked at auto and marine sealants on-line but some have said even that will come off with hot water, they are for cold water use only, but will all? Thanks.
