A co-worker and I got into an altercation. We were in another town, and that supervisor never said anything. So about 8 hours go bye we finish the job, and then we drive 2 hours to our dock. I went to sleep for about 4 or 5 hours, and when I get up my supervisor calls me in the office and tells me, "you already know what this is about". I said, "No" what is it about. My supervisor who was not even at the job sight tells me I'm fired for the altercation and nothing happens with the other guy. They give me know paper work to sign stating why I got fired and, they also did not even get both sides of the story. Now I'm just asking would I be able to put a lawsuit on that company, plus after about 2 months.

In most states, no. You are generally an employee-at-will, so you can leave at any time for any reason, and they can let you go at any time for any reason.

If they have a no fight policy they could use this as a defense. You were probably let go for other reasons but they used the fight as an excuse to let you go. After two months I think it's a bit too late to do anything about it.

Can you sue, of course anyone can sue anyone, but it will be a weak case.
