THe lawn mower used to start right away. I have had difficulty getting it started lately. Sometimes with more than 5 pulls. Now it smells flooded. I have even purchased a new spark plug, have checked to see that it is getting fire, but still does not start no matter how many pulls.

Check your filter, is it clean? Is the vent hole open in the fuel cap?
