Got 3 prices for 30 year architectural asphalt timko vs timberline 30 squares 1212 sq foot ranch gable front and gable garage style. 8500 10k and 12.5k.. middle guy did work for us years ago and was fine he still is old school family of 4 does all work with family and he hand nails all. Other 2 use guns and staple type and owner not on job site. Who would you chose? Middle guy 3 days job other two 2 day jobs. There are 2 layers on house already. We just bought this house a week ago. Any thoughts? We got a 4700.00 allowance for 1/3 of the roof as that is the only part 30 y.o. rest is 15 y.o.roof

I would probably take the guy I used before and was happy with, so long as I could afford the extra $.

Check with your local codes about how many layers you can have, most do not allow a 3rd so tear off quotes may be in order.
