I live in Va, Henrico Co, I have a court date for an eviction. How much time do I have to move after the judge rules on the case. I might add that the Landlord harassed me after I received my court papers, and threaten me, and entered the property without my permission. Please advise. I don't want to stay just need time.

If you call the clerk of court where the eviction summons came from they should give you the outline of events from this point forward. They can't give you advice, but they should be able to tell you (for example, "from the date of the judgement you have XX days to appeal. Then if you don't appeal the landlord get a writ of possession which gives you XX days to be out or the sherrif will come escort you off the property.)

In most places I'd say it's a couple of weeks from the date of the hearing / judgement. But these things can vary greatly from state to state, and even locally. In one local court I can have a non-paying tenant out in 3 weeks and in the next jurisdiction over it takes 4 to 5.
