Does anyone know how to go about placing "free" and effective ads on the internet for a cleaning business?

Hi, msealey!

Yes, I know how to do that. Most of my business comes from free ads that I have placed on the Internet. It works so well for me that I have taken my ads out of the Yellow Pages of the phone book because the ads on the Internet work better for me. I have a number of small businesses that I run.

Please see the information that is evolving on the following thread.

Thanks!

Here is some additional information that's from another thread where I have addressed the issue about advertising on the Internet.

It's easy to advertise for free on the Internet and to promote your website! You just need to know the keywords to use as well as the Internet sites where you can advertise for free that get the best results when people do searches for things on the Internet. It takes time to set up the ads and/or the websites initially, but you will get results if you use the right words.

One thing that is important is to remember is that people aren't going to be looking for you by your name or even the name of your business, but will be looking for the service or products that you will be providing in the location where it is most easy for them to procure them.

I have a number of small businesses that I run. Most of the business that I get is from the free ads that I have placed on the Internet as well as words that I have placed in my websites.

Some of the best places to advertise for free for your website or business are listed on the following links.

There are also many places where you can have a free website or blog where you could advertise your business, website or anything else for that matter. Some of them can be found by clicking on the following searches.

Free Website - Google Search (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&safe=off&q=Free+Website)

Free Blog - Google Search (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=Free+Blog)

You can also look into joining something like Google AdSense if you would like to make some additional revenue.

I have done some research concerning the beatyourprice.com website. What I have found is that it doesn't get very good exposure at all when people so searches for services or things.

I went to the section where a person can post an ad. The following is quoted from that section.

Your ad will be displayed for 7 days. Consider buying one of the Extended Ad packages if you would like your ad to run longer.

Seven days is nothing compared to the sites that are truly free where a person can post about services and things for months and sometimes even years without it costing a cent.

I have been doing online advertising for well over three years now. I know which sites get the best exposure when people do searches for services and things. I don't list the ones that aren't really all that good in my posts on this site.

If someone puts my first and last name into a search on Google, the first listing will be about me and the rest of the listings on even the first page will be about services that I've advertised. Just putting my email address into a search on Google will yield, (depends on the day and the number of search spiders that are being sent out) between 700 and 1,000 results on pages of the web. That's just for the sites that will allow me to put my email address on them!

I don't need to brag anymore here...

The short of it is, that all the ads that I've placed on the Internet get excellent exposure, most of them will be on for months or even years, and I have never paid a cent for any of them.

Beatyourprice, I would be interested in why you keep promoting beatyourprice.com here, if you wouldn't mind letting me know?

Thanks!
