I am currently living in NC. My husband and I are filing for divorce. We just bought a home 4 months ago and we want to sell it now that we are getting a divorce. How long do we have to wait to put the house on the market?

I live in the uk and I own my house and want a devorce from my husband we have a child of nine and 22 yrs where do I stand?

I believe it would be a good idea to speak to a lawyer, decide on who gets what (especially in regards to the house -- how much does each person get when its sold) Get it in writing in the divorce papers, then you can put it up for sale.
If you put it up now and sell it, it could cause problems if its not all written out before hand.
I do believe you can put it up now, if you both agree to selling it (again you may want to get this in writing just in case) Since the market is slow, it may take a while to sell.
