Hello,

Allegations have been made against me which are completely false. I was accused of stealing narcotic medication while employed as a home health aide from a client. There is no proof to this. Because I stand by my innocence I have chosen to fight this. The prehearing was last week. I attended after major surgery just 3 weeks prior. My accuser did not attend stating she had surgery in MAY and could not make it. A hearing is set for Nov. What recourse do I have? I took an 8 week class to be certified. I was fired immediately yet the accuser waited FOUR days to report the loss of meds. I have suffered greatly due to this false accusation and loss of income. What are MY RIGHTS? I want this accuser to realize the damage I have had to suffer.

Hello swb:

The prehearing with WHO?? What are you charged with?? I can't believe it's a criminal charge.

Your RIGHTS are to have him (or the state) prove beyond a reasonable doubt, that you took the stuff. With NO witnesses, that's impossible to do. That's why I don't even believe a prosecutor would charge you.

What can you do to the accuser? Not much.
