Considering I have made both before the 4004 chips were ou and have used commercial analog and digital computers, there is a big difference.

Integration and differentiation were really tough to do on a slow computer, but electronic components such as capacitors lead themselves to designing circuits that will integrate in nearly real time. Analog computers use varying voltages and digital computers are based on binary logic and binary arithmetic.
