You know they say, it's only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it.

Maybe it is special and maybe not. Is it in good shape? No major finish problems? Any cracks in the sound board? Does it still play good?
It may sell as an antique, as a collector's item, or maybe somebody just wants a cheap piano for their kid.
You have to hit the right market. But to look for a more official value, you'd have to talk to a dealer perhaps, or try a more specific forum like Piano Forums at Piano World (http://www.pianoworld.com/ubb/ubb/ultimatebb.php).

To have a dealer find out, they may need more information. You can usually find that info stamped into the iron frame somewhere, a serial number or model.

Good luck!

Hi, raspy!

A lot more information is needed here...

Can this instrument be tuned and is it an upright or a grand, please!

I am a professional pianist and have been a piano tuner/technician since 1974.

Please put the two words piano tuner into the search function at the top of this page and then click on the search button. You will find lots of questions about old pianos in that search. On any post where you see my name as being the last person to post, then I would suggest clicking on those links.

I would greatly enjoy having a dialogue with you on this thread, though!

Thanks!
