I replaced traditional treated lumber decking with the newer composite (trex) boards. I have found this material extremely hard to clean. It shows rain water stains and seems to absorb dirt and stains of all sorts. Please let me know if you have any cleaning solutions! I have tried everything-even pressure washing, to no avail. Thank you for any and all help.

Try using a deck cleaner containing Oxaclic or Phosphoric acid, should do the trick. You can sometimes clean the deck with household bleach depending on the stain.

Don't use a pressure washer on Trex because it can damage the material.

Let me know if this helps.

I would suggest you just Google composite deck cleaner. You'll find tons of cleaners from $15 to $75. ACE carries some in stock at their stores. Online Hardware Store, One Stop place for Home Hardware,Plumbing, Electrical, Automotive, Garden, Tools, Paints and Construction supplies. (http://www.thehardwarecity.com/?sku=6329775)

Trex is suppose to have a warranty against any staining, etc. I would contact them or call the lumber yard you got the materials from.
