Hey Everyone,
Hopefully someone can give me some sound advice. So my girlfriend of 9 months and I have been going through a real rough patch for the last month. Every couple of weeks we have a talk where she tells me she has a gut feeling she doesn't want this anymore and she is not sure about where to go. Each time, we have decided to just take it easy and we always have become happy again, but then soon enough we have the same talk. I left for college 3 weeks ago, and the day before I left we agreed to still be dating and see how it goes. Everything was going fine, we were talking for about an hour every day and we laughed a lot and enjoyed it. Then on Friday, she called me and told me she doesn't want to be dating anymore and that we will talk more when I came home for the weekend. After our talk for the weekend we have agreed to be broken up and want to be just friends for awhile and see what happens with some pressure-free talks. My question is, how should I act during this time? Obviously she needs some space and needs to get back in touch with herself. But also, I am the one who is sure of this and knows it can work. So what is your advice to me on how to make it work? I fell in love with this girl and that is why it is so hard for me. I do not want to move on not because I am afraid I won't meet someone else or something like that, but because I have never been as happy as I have been when we were dating and fine, and I know she was just as happy for most of our relationship. Any advice you guys can give me is much appreciated!

Give her what she wants, your company, but no strings attached. You okay with that? Your not there any way.

Basically don't be like "I love you" "Why?" etc. Don't call her 20 times a day and ask her about everything. Let he take a step back breath. Either she will realize she wants you or she will want to move on. I'm sorry to break it like that but its how it is.
