Go to a hair dresser please. Esp that you need to lighten your hair that means using bleech.. and Please don't try use bleech alone as it will go horribly wrong.

It's not an uncommon mistake to get your hair color too dark, but it is a mistake that's tricky to fix, especially for non-professionals. Many times, hair color correction requires multiple steps, bleaching out the old hair color and then adding back the base hair colors that make up the shade you want. But since you want to go from a level 1 (black) to a level 3 (medium brown). A hairstylist can mix a formula that will turn your hair medium brown, minus the orange tones. It's difficult to do this kind of process on your own. I advise you to go to the salon and have a hairstylist do a corrective color.

Hi,
I just finished removing the black dye from my hair with Colorfix.
I am naturally a light to medium brown, but have been using dark brown to soft black for more than a year and I was sick of it. I did a lot of research on the internet and found a website that has reviews for Colorfix. The information on this website was very helpful and although I was apprehensive, I went to Sally's Beauty Supply this afternoon and bought a box.
Tonight I used the product, carefully mixing it exactly as directed. I put it on my hair and made sure that I covered every strand thoroughly. Twenty minutes later, I rinsed my hair for 3 minutes and then shampooed, exactly as the directions stated. I got a little panicky at that point because my hair felt like straw. The back of my hair, although much lighter, was still darker than the top and sides, so I used the product again for 20 minutes, rinsed well and shampooed. I then used a protein pack (an intensive conditioner). After applying the conditioner, I put on a plastic cap and left it on for 30 minutes, before rinsing again. Now my hair is very soft again. In fact, I did not realize how much color buildup I had on my hair until I removed it. My hair feels like hair again.
The color is now a brassy red, which would be fine on someone with a complexion that complimented this color, but it does not look great on me. I intend to color tomorrow with a light brown.
By the way, I did not use the processor that comes with the Colorfix. From everything I read on the review website, it can turn the hair dark again.
If you want to read more about Colorfix, either click, or copy and paste the following link:

I do not know if Colorfix is for everyone, but I would do it again in a heartbeat.
If you try this product, let me know if you are happy with the results.
