View Full Version : Power Shutdown issues

I've been having this problem for a few time and it hasn't really bugged me too much until now. My computer seems to operate just fine. However, when I decide to turn it off, my computer will go through the motions. Settings are saved, windows shuts down, the screen goes away, I hear the H.D. turn off, and... hmm. Well, I was expecting it to shut down my computer, but I guess nowadays it has other plans.

You should know that I some times don't use the start menu sources to shut down because my big power button on my tower does the same thing after configuring that in the power options. Speaking of power options, I've also noticed that I don't have an APM tab/option available. My motherboard (Jetway 630) does have power management enabled, but this fix that everyone claims to do the trick for the system hang can't work in my favor since I can't find a way to configure APM through my OS.

I'm on Intel Pentium III, 1Gb memory...
Could it be the power supply?
Or any hardware or software problems? Although I don't have any software or hardware issues or missing drivers or so on...

I really appreciate in advance!
