I have been on Isoniazid (100mg) daily for the past several months. I have also been on hydrocodone 7.5/500 during this same time. My pharmacist completely freaked me out this afternoon regarding liver toxicity and that they shouldn't be taken together. (Same doc, totally legit, same pharmacy, this is just the first time someone caught it)...

Here's my question... I haven't been on the Isoniazid for the past 4 days (I ran out), but I took hydrocodone today... How long does it take before one or the other is out of my system? Is the isoniazid probably already out? Should I be on red alert? Should I wait a few days to start the Isoniazid? Or should I have a cup of tea and chill? My doc isn't in the office until Tuesday.:confused: :confused:

Chill until you can talk to dr. Your pharmacist is correct. Listen to him before dr as doctors sometimes don't really read all the insert propaganda (oops literature) that comes with the drugs. You will have a hard time regenerating your liver from any drug damage. Better be safe than sorry on this one.
