What size drain fixture should I buy for a 1.75 inch drain hole? I have a vessel sink with a 1.75 in hole, but I have not seen a push button drain in that size. Should the drain be smaller than the hole, such as 1.5 or 1.25?

This link goes to the kind of thin I am looking for
Porcelain Vessel Sink Pop-up Drain and Overflow from Overstock.com (http://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Porcelain-Vessel-Sink-Pop-up-Drain-and-Overflow/2325162/product.html)

I just need to know what size to look for!

I have asked the sink manufacturer, and not received a satisfactory answer to what I think is a relatively simple question (for someone who knows the answer anyway!)

Thanks!!

Tori

There are special drains made for vessel sinks. The come in 1 1/4" and 1 1/2. Get the 1 1/2. there are the umbrella, pop up and flip type. Look where you bought the vessel sink.

Herald beat me to it again. Most vessel sinks have a 1.5 inch drain and can accept either a "flip top- drain" or a "grid type drain" (see image) If you have a sink that takes a special drain you will have to bug the mabufacture. If you need instructions on installing a vessel sink click on; How To Install A Vessel Sink & Faucet (http://www.bathroomvesselsinks.com/articles-how-to-install-a-vessel-sink.asp)
Good luck, Tom
