Screen goes blank (shows "Acer" logo) every few seconds, then comes back on for a few seconds, then off again, etc, etc. HP computer, Windows XP

Confirm monitor's signal cable connections at both monitor and computer. Then, try another monitor if possible to isolate problem to monitor or computer.

Sounds like a screensaver going wonky.

Acer monitors display logo at powerup, so it sounds like it's power cycling or has an electronics issue to me, but I've been wrong before. A little digging turned up Acer LCD Monitor Problem - Why My Monitor Resets & Restarts? - Yahoo! Answers (http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080829054328AAj8KWG). If that doesn't do the trick and you want to pursue this, I'm still registered as an Acer Authorized Reseller and Channel Partner. If you can provide a model and serial number, I will attempt to get an answer. Or, if it's still in warranty, you can send it in to Acer. If not you can also initiate a repair process from their support website.
