A friend has somehow associated all the files and applications with word.

As an example in Office shortcuts, all programs are opening in word.

All the programs accessible from the start button have the word icon as their icon

All shortcuts created end appear as a word icon and are unaccessable through their own file extn.

I can pin apps by accessing the programm files thro C drive/programs

This is only happening on one account on the laptop, the other account is OK. The OS is vista.

Never in my puff seen this any ideas welcome, is their a way of reverting to their original status.

-You can try to do a system restore to go back when before this was happening
-Go down to the part of the webpage where you see
Use System Restore. And go from there

The text below, copy it into a NOTEPAD window, then save the file to your desktop as Restore.bat

Make sure you use the .bat extension. Then doubleclick the file. Should repair your associations for you quickly.
