Hello,

Every time I turn on my PC, Mozilla Firefox starts and I am taken to a page which supposedly scans your PC and I am told I have "porn and illegal content" on my PC, which I do not does anyone know how I can stop this from appearing.
It takes me to this page which then pops up porn as well which I don't want.
Does anyone have any solutions about how I can stop this?

Thank you in adavance,

Jack

Download and run the following two anti-adware/spyware programs:

AdAware 2008 Free (http://lavasoft.com/single/trialpay.php)
Spybot Search & Destroy (also free) (http://www.safer-networking.org/en/spybotsd/index.html)

In addition, if you don't have antivirus software running, download and run AVG:

AVG Free (http://free.avg.com/)

-open up your Firefox and go to a web page that you would like to make your home page

-goto tools, options and the main tab

-then click the Use Current Page button

-now when you open Firefox, it will open to the page you set as homepage

It seems you are inffected with the antivirus virus. It creates a new addon to your browser and redirects you to a page to make you download more software. Use the tools provided in the 1st answer, and also change your home page as in the 2nd answer. If the problem persists, check your browser addons and see if anything suspicious is there.
