I am so mad, its dripping all over the floor when I wash. I put some putty dope on it, and that just doesn't work. It makes a hissing sound like pressure is building up in it. The back of my washer is all rusty and I had to move it away from the wall.
What the heck is going on. Thanks:(

Call Sears repair.
I believe that Sears just lost a class action law suit regarding rusting appliances.

Where is it leaking at, where the supply hose connects to the water valve?

Hi, it is leaking at the valve handle water out, the hose is connected to it that sends the water into the machine.

If the shut off valve is leaking you can replace the internal parts of it or replace it. Have you checked the washer inside the supply hose?

I can't take the back off, it is badly rusted. Its time for a new washer. This happened to another washer I had but I left it at my old house for the new owners to deal with. Karma? I don't think so... I won't get another Kenmore. I want to try a Magtag.
Is there any other way I can fix the shutoff valve without taking the back off?

Well, I can't sue anyone, as it was a reburbished washer and the store went out of business. I didn't pay a lot for it, maybe $200. And I had it 6 yrs.
Thanks for your answer

Are you saying that the valve on the wall is leaking around the stem or shaft that the handle is on?

The stem leaks. The same thing happens outside while using the hose. Do you think I have the cold water on too high?
