I have a 24ft above ground and am finding pin holes on one side of the pool. I patched two but have found four more. The linner is two years old and otherwise in great shape. The pool store told me that it was from nut grass. I pulled an article online to get a visual of what I was looking for because I had no idea what they were talking about. I checked the area around the pool and outside the fence and couldn't see anthything that looked like this nut grass. Is there a way to fix these pin holes without spending hours underwater searching and hoping I don't miss one outside of replacing the linner? I am afraid to drain the pool at this time of year. With all the rain we get the back corner of the yard floods and I am afraid that with the pool empty it will get damaged.

Sounds like you need to replace the liner. While you have it out, see what is between it and the wall. Maybe some of that weed is coming up between the wall and the liner, or between the floor and liner. Also inspect the wall for sharp screws, or metal fragments, etc.

Do not look any more for nut grass, you had a nut talking to you. Take Al's advice and replace the liner.
