I would like to know if it is possible to apply for portuguese passports from the U.A.E. My husband and myself are both goans.

You could check it out at the Portuguese Consulate out there - BUT -... I think that you would be in the same situation as Brazilians - who - to get a Portuguese passport today, must have documentary evidence of at least Grandparents being born in Portugal.

Before Portugal joined the EEC (European Union) I seem to remember their government giving a certain time to the people of the ex-colonies to apply for passports - this is sadly long past.
