I installed a moen posi-temp control valve and when filling up the tub water dribbles out of the shower head. This will not happen if it is just cracked and on cold but when mixing or on full hot it will dribble. I have rotated the cartridge and no change. Is this normal? Thanks in advance for the replies.

This can happen if, 1) the shower raiser's too short.**or** 2) if the house pressure's too high,( that's the one I'd pick) What is the house PSI? Could be a faulty diverter but I don't think so. Regards, tom

Thanks for the reply. What is the min lenth of rise between the head and the valve. I have about 30-35". If this is the problem is there a solution other than more distance?

Anything over 30 inches should be fine. Your dirverter is in the spout and not built into the valve, correct? Now, what's your house PSI? Let me know. Tom

Speedball,
You just saved me a ton of headaches. I tried to support but the paypal page will not accept my postal code from canada. Please send me your address and I will be glad to send you something. My e-mail is
[email protected]. I don't know what the water pressure is but I did close the main valve a bit and problem solved. All other fixtures operating normally at reduced pressure also. Thanks a bunch man, I could not have satisfied this customer without your help.
