Hello,

I lived in Maryland. I got two judements against me. The first one because I did not respond timely. The fact was I have never recevied anything in the first place. I got one piece of paper sending from the law firm--telling me that they filed the judement against me. I had to do all my research on the case and filed. But later I realize by the time I filed, I passed the deadline already. I thik something was sent to the wrong address Or nevre sent. I did not have the proper time to answer. I was also ignorant about all of these and it took me some time to find out the minimum information. During that period, my mom was dying. I had very little time. So now they are in the process of gnarish my salary.
If that is the procedue. Look at the second. I filed the motion to discovery to the collector. I did not receive their answer. I filed the motion of dismiss the case a day before the court date original scheduled. But I went the court. During the court time, the plantiff's lawyer said he never saw the discovery. But the judge has both. The case was not dismissed. I could not really understand it. It seems it will need further procedure. When I left the court, the lawyer wanted to talk to me. I did not want to talk. Guess what, I got a court order: denied my motion of dismiss. And a default judgment.

I was in the court and I have not received any more papers, how can this be? The case 1 and 2 are the similar nature. It has something to do with the date. But on either side I lose.
What can I do? I really want to know if there is a judement against you, can you do anything?

If in fact you now have two judgments, your only option is to try to work out a payment plan.

Since they have already started garnishment, chances are slim to none that they will be willing to negotiate anything at this point.

Sorry you didn't treat this as an important and critical matter, but your delay in responding or failure to show up for the hearings has seriously reduced your chances to fix this now.
