Hi, my boyfriend skipped away from probation in virginia about 4 and 1\2 years ago and went to vist the begging of August and got arrested in state and his warrant of arrest for probation violation came up and he needs to go I guess to Arlington va.Whats going to happen there? Could he possiably just get more probation and have it moved here to ny where he has a home and a job?

Hello lost:

Of course, I don't know what he was on probation for or how much time he had left, or what his record is, and lots of stuff like that.

He could get re-released, and get it transferred to NY... Or he could get a lot of time for the violation and they might not let him transfer... Or anything in between.

If you want the best possible outcome, hire a good lawyer for him

This is confusing to me he was commanded to be arrested for his alleged court ordered violation to-wit he failed to follow the directions of his probation officer original charges being Perjury , discharging a firearm and felony in the possession of a fire arm. I think he got 7 years and has 4 over his head and while on probation he walked away about 5 years ago and has made a good life for himself other than being arrested for dui misdemeanor false identify self to officer and habitual driving without a licence.. we had a car accident and that how all these charges came about and the warrant for his arrest..

My guess he will have to serve the rest of term in prison.
The DUI is not staying out of trouble, so they will view this as him still be in trouble
