Where can I find laws on verbal or oral commitments?

You should be able to go to your state's official website and look up statutes. Try Lawyer, Lawyers, Attorney, Attorneys, Law, Legal Information - FindLaw (http://www.findlaw.com)

Please don't post Findlaw as the answer to questions - On the legal boards it is recommended that you post the answer and where you found it if you would like to also include that info.

I see you have posted sites on other boards but I don't know how other boards handle this same issue.

The people who post "here" are looking for answers and explanations, not where to find the answers and info.

I find it offensive that you post other similar question and answer boards repeatedly, taking business away from the sponsors of this Board. Quite frankly, what is your interest in Findlaw?

If the OP means oral contracts - they must meet the same basic criteria as written contracts. Both parties must receive a benefit, the terms must be understood by both parties, there must be a meeting of the minds. Oral agreements ARE acceptable in Court but (obviously) much more difficult to prove and they often turn into he said/she said.
