Hello I am here to ask a question for my very close friend who is already married in his country and but fell in love with a swiss girl and swiss girl knows that a man is already married but both are ready to marry each other... man lives in italy and girl lives in switzerland... man was married to his home state in india and his wife is back home so my question is that:

1. Can they marry in swistzerland?
2. with the permission of his first wife ?
3. or any other solution?
4. Does Italian authorities shares data with Swiss authorities as Switzerland has not yet entered in european union ?

I need an expert advise.. so please do let me know if you have an answer...

They have to divorce before he can get remarried.

I have to agree with Chuck, it doesn't matter where who lives. He must divorce his current wife to be remarried. Polymagamist.

Permission from the first wife is not accepted and cannot be used in any countries. Your friend must return to the country where his wife is, file a divorce and after he receives a divorce decree, he can re-marry.

Procedures to obtain EU passport, immigration require this document, so don't mess things up.
