Just was wondering if anyone has ever noticed any trends in genetic disorders, such as Lupus, that have higher numbers in certain localities. It is known that diabetes is more prevalent in the southern united states, but a lot of that has to do with diet. I was curious about genetics.

I've not found any areas where Lupus seems to be more common, however there are many genetic disorders that are found in high numbers in certain areas. For example, there is a high prevalence of infants born with various genetic disorders in India (http://content.karger.com/ProdukteDB/produkte.asp?Aktion=ShowFulltext&ProduktNr=224224&Ausgabe=228733&ArtikelNr=66335).
