How to start a cleaning business in Illinois.:)

Business license, know how to clean the items you are going to clean, adverstise, get jobs and go to work

It would really help to have a little more information about whether you have had any experience cleaning for others in order to make money. If so, what kind of cleaning it was that you did, where your business is going to be located, like out of your home or a store front and what kind of cleaning it would be that you would like to do, and also whether you will be employing others who would consider you to be their employer for tax purposes. Knowing those sort of things would be helpful for us to know in order to answer your question the best here.

Where I live in Illinois, a person who cleans homes or businesses by themselves and operates out of their home and is self-employed, doesn't need to have a license, but you definitely need to have at least liability insurance. Bonding also isn't a requirement where I live.
