 Me again,my 97 accord 2.2 non vetec standard.I have replaced ignition module, coil, plug wires, plugs, waterpump, timing belts, tensioners and cleaned out the idle air control valve and a fuel filter. All that said was running good till this morning went to work pulled out of my road push in clutch to stop and the idle was surging up and down from 1200 to about 1700 rpm.if you bring the idle up just a little stop doing.I live about 25 miles to work and by the time I got there it was sitting right about 700 rpm steady.Did the same on the way home but time I got home it was doing a lot better.I am just frustrated never had this many problems with a honda. Can u help one more time been a big help so far.

. Ensure the hoses to the IACV are clean.
. Ensure upper and lower throttle body ports are clean.
. Clean throttle valve and throttle body.
If problem persists, focus on the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor and the Intake Air Temperature Sensor.

I recently had a serious idle issue with my 93 Honda Accord it would jump from 1000 to 4000 at start up. I had 4 mechanics looking into this problem... finally the issue was found... I change the idle valve, vacuum box was bad and the key problem was my intake manifold gasket was shot... try looking into these areas...
