Check your city depts. About youth programs. My city has a community calender where they list gymnastics, dance classes, karate, art, basketball, etc. for a small monthly fee. Its monthly so your not committed to a contract... which worked well for me because my daughter wanted to try everything. Also, these classes are typically done by age group.

Hmmm, you could buy her a basketball, soccer ball, etc... for a low price if there was a free basketball area around.

A lot of city groups in my area are for the most part free. Try looking in those annoying newspapers you get every once in a while and the usually say what's going for the next month in your area

Girl Scouts or 4-H would be a good place for her to make friends.
Check out what's going on at your local Y.

Girl Scouts and 4-H are a good idea. Also, some areas have programs for kids that are home-schooled.

Some churches have kids programs on Wednesday nights. Community kids can go, interact with other kids and have fun. Plus - it's free.

Your local library may have reading programs, where the kids can get together.

Your local recreation center should have some sort of sporting activity available.

Along with the above suggestions, if she is home a lot, you may want to check out some craft stores, They have some really fun things to do and they don't cost much.

Hey I'm also homeschooled. Personally I would say go volunteering, hang out at the local beach or participate in some team sport such as soccer.

I don't know, but most summer and winter sports that I do are pretty expensive (mountain biking in the summer and snowboarding in the winter). If you are on a distance education plan, you could theoretically go to a public school near you and just do the spoprts programs
