I am a f-1 student and I am in my last semester. I just got married to a permanent resident here. My husband is about to become a U.S citizen in about two years. After I graduate I would like to start working. I have some questions.

- can I work with a 1-130 status?
- how long does it take to have my 1-130 status, and for how long is it issued?
- should I just apply for OPT(optical practical training) for the extra year here in the US, or should I just apply for a worker's permit?
- what would happen after the OPT is expired, can I then get a another year here after the OPT until my husband become a US citizen, and then apply for citizenship?

Anyyyyy help is appreciated
Thanks.

No

It takes about 5 years to obtain a greencard when your petitioner is a greencard holder, but it takes less than a year for US citizen.

Maintain your F-1/OPT until you get approval OR file I-130 after he becomes US citizen.
