Hi
Can someone help me to get excat tax calculation. I am in OPT and getting $60000/year.so,how much will I be getting per month after taxes.I am working in Texas.

1. On F1/OPT, you are exempt from FICA taxes for 5-years. You will file non-resident tax return.
2. On non-resident tax return you will get personal exemption of $3500 and deduction as per tax treaty between the U.S. and your country. What is your citizenship?
3. Texas does not have any state income tax.
4. How much you will get every month depends upon how many allowances you have claimed on your W4. If you claim more allowances, employer will deduct less federal income tax. In that case, you may owe tax when you file your tax return.
