I am using Outlook Express and am suddenly getting a lot of spam. My ISP is Roadrunner (Time Warner) which does a very poor job of filtering spam.
There is an anti-spam program available free from Time Warner, made by Computer Assoc (CA), which got a marginal review by consumer reports. They claim it "learns from spam".
Consumer Reports more highly recommends another free program called SPAMfighter. They claim it "uses online collaboration"
I'm out of work, so need to stay with the freebies right now.
I was wondering if it is possible to load BOTH of these anti-spam programs at the same time to use with O.E. ??? Seems like they both have something to offer, so combined may be a decent solution.
In the past, I used an old version of CA anti-spam which basically put any email that was not on my "approved senders list" in the spam folder. This just made double work for me as I still had to review all emails in the spam folder in case a legitimate one went there. It was easier to just look at all emails in my inbox, and delete away.
But it's getting to be too much. The spammers are killing me.
I've even set up message rules in O.E. to filter email by O.E. but I can't keep up. The spammers just keep misspelling words.
Thanks...
