I have an old Stanadyne (I've been told this is now Moen) bathtub faucet that leaks out of the spout when it is turned off. I'm not sure how to describe the faucet other than it is a single-handle that I pull away from the wall and then turn right or left to adjust the water temperature. It looks as if there is a cartridge inside. I wonder if this is something that is easy to fix or if I should give in and call a plumber. Thanks.

Hi David,

Moen cartridges are a snap to replace, (see image) Let me give you a link that will give you instructions. Click on, Installation Help / Animated Tutorial - Installing the Moen 1225 / 1200 Cartridge (http://www.moen.com/consumersupport/installation/moen0133/moen0133.cfm)
Just follow directions. If you have a problem get back to me. Regards, Tom
